StixCampNewstead
The third BarCampMelbourne is going to be a StixCamp! StixCamps are like BarCamps, only they’re held in the sticks, a bit like the first Australian BarCamp: BarCampMelbourne 2007.
StixCampNewstead will be held in Newstead on the 14th and 15th of March. More information and updated are available on the StixCamp Victoria, Australia web site, and registrations will be opening on the 14th of February.
This event is being organised by the BarCampMelbourne organisers. Volunteers that would like to help out are encouraged to join the mailing list.
What is a BarCamp?
Described as "an intense event with discussions, demos and interaction from attendees", anyone is welcome to come along for free. Everyone is asked to participate by giving a presentation or leading a discussion, essentially forcing the sharing of ideas and knowledge. We’re looking at holding the next BarCampMelbourne in September, with March events being run as StixCamps.
